A QUICK TRANSFORMATION : DECOUPAGE A TRAY

I’ve had this blue tray for a while now. It has been used in my drink’s cart (yes, I do have a drink’s cart! – pictures coming soon!).  I always loved the shape and the colour of the tray but I always felt like there was something missing, a bit of color or something…

I thought about painting it but I didn’t want to add just one color, I knew a wanted many colors and when I found a very pretty and colorful decoupage paper I knew it was the way forward.

Decoupage is one of my favorites crafts.  I adore that you can decoupage from the comfort of your couch. I  love that you can’t really get it wrong –  if you are not happy with the results, cover it. I love that it is easy, it has a big impact and it is very affordable.  What’s not to love? (every time I start decoupaging Mr B gets nervous as it usually takes me a while to stop finding things to cover!)

My tray now looks so pretty. I am delighted with the result.
It has character!

I love the white pots against the flowery background. I love the colorful background with the blue. I just love it.

So next time you find a bargain, or something you think has potential but it’s not there yet… think decoupage. You’ll never regret it!
