In my head, smoothies represent everything that is healthy in the world.
If the boys are going to a birthday party where I know they are going to eat junk food (sausages, chips, pizza, sweets, cakes… the usual), I always give them a big smoothie with as much fruit, organic yoghurt and honey beforehand to make sure that they have something nutritious and full of vitamins to balance the meals out. It is the same for us. If I am planning a night out or to get a take-out, I would make myself a smoothie before for a guilt free enjoyment later on.
This healthy CHOCO RASPBERRY SMOOTHIE feels a bit naughty because it has chocolate. It is of course dark chocolate (70% coco). Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants, it is very nutritious and it may improve brain function. It is also he healthiest and most delicious chocolate in the entire world.
– 1 cup Almond Milk
– 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate
– 1/2 cup Fresh Raspberries
– 1/2 cup fresh Strawberries
– 1 tbspn Honey
Blend away, pour and enjoy your healthy (and ever so slightly naughty) smoothie.
I think this is going to be our new favorite smoothie for picnics and day trips. It will be added to our picnic menu (the boys’ idea, I promise).
